Besides the detailed admission related information, which is available in the prospectus of the college, the Principal and the faculty also give guidance and counseling to admission seekers. The admissions are done on the basis of admission tests held by the college and the university for the specified number of seats in each class. It seems that it does not deny admission to any candidate in conventional subjects provided the applicant fulfils the minimum required condition of eligibility.

The college follows annual system in its UG & PG courses except in Law in which it follows semester system. All the subjects and combinations are taught as per syllabi and academic calendar prescribed by the affiliating Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad which conducts its examinations. Many teachers of the college are members of different Boards of Studies and other decision making bodies of the university and as such directly contribute to the modification, revision and enrichment of syllabi to be taught while also keeping in view the UGC recommendations and guidelines in different subjects. These courses are sustained though regular teaching and support of its laboratories in different science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology besides Home Science, Geography, Computer Applications and the college library. Teaching is mostly done in Hindi in almost all the subjects except in science subjects in the traditional lecture method with supplementary use of practical teaching aids in science subjects, Home Science and Computer Applications departments wherever needed and possible. Regular use of OHPs, multimedia and other technology-enabled teaching aids is proposed to be introduced gradually.
